Project Overview
My intention for this project was to further explore my connection to my culture through this year’s topic: winter. Growing up, my time and energy were consumed by figure skating. I had little to no time to focus on learning about my culture. To reconnect, I wrote a letter to my relative in Greece explaining how I experience the Canadian winter solstice and my new journey of learning Greek. Using figure skating and the earth’s gravitational pull as inspiration, I decided to explore how I could manipulate the movement in the book format.
